This drawing inspired me to create the following collection by the flowing qualities of the bird and the sense of movement it possesses. It was a challenging design to wax carve as it features thin and delicate components.

The main bespoke piece the bird with Tagua leaf detail while the commercial collection focuses on the detail of the feathers and incorporate blue lapis gemstones the reflect the original colours of the bird.
